This feature allows you to define the display order of products within each storage area during inventories.
The goal is to match the inventory list with the real layout of your site (fridge, cold room, shelves…), making inventory counts easier and faster.
1️⃣ Enable custom order
To activate this option:
Go to Inventories → Storage areas.
Open the storage area you want to configure.
In the settings, locate the Product order field.
Select Custom.
2️⃣ Change the product order
Once Custom is selected:
Return to the storage area page.
Click Change the order of products.
Rearrange the products in the desired order.
Click Save.
You can follow the physical layout, for example:
shelves,
fridge trays,
cold room levels,
bar sections, etc.
3️⃣ What happens during inventories
During an inventory count:
products appear in the custom order you defined,
entry is faster and easier,
there is less risk of mistakes or omissions.
4️⃣ Best practices
Use custom ordering in areas with a stable physical layout.
Update the order after rearranging the storage area.
Combine this feature with inventory tags for better organization.
