Products
The cost price is calculated separately for each location. It corresponds to the average purchase price excluding tax of the supplier items that the location can order.
The following conditions must be met:
The supplier article must be enabled, with the “Use this supplier article to calculate the product cost price” checkbox selected. This option is selected by default.
The supplier article must be assigned to a location group that includes the relevant location.
The supplier must be associated with the location.
When a supplier article is disabled but you still want its purchase price to be included in the calculation, select the “Use this supplier article to calculate the product cost price even when the supplier item is disabled” checkbox.
⚠️ Organization-level view: The displayed cost price is the average purchase price excluding tax of the supplier articles, regardless of location groups or supplier settings.

Recipes
The cost price is calculated separately for each location. It corresponds to the sum of the cost prices of all ingredients included in the recipe.
⚠️ Organization-level view: The cost price is based on the organization-level cost prices of the products included in the recipe.

Cost Price Update Time
Changes made to location groups, supplier settings, or ingredients may take several tens of minutes to be reflected in the cost prices of the affected products and recipes.
Losses, Sales, and Productions
The cost price used is the location’s cost price at the time the operation is closed or validated.
Backdating does not affect the cost price calculation.
Stock Transfers
The cost price used is the sending location’s cost price at the time the transfer is sent.
Backdating does not affect the cost price calculation.
Inventories
The cost price is based on a weighted average of purchases - including supplier orders, emergency purchases, and incoming stock transfers - and the latest inventory count.
Backdating affects the cost price calculation.
